Searching for Bullwinkle

Melvin and Tamara, owners, run a great outfitting business. I could stop right there, but I won't! The accommodations, the food, the hospitality, and my guide I found to be excellent. They were enduring the strangest winter that they could remember. By the time of year I was there to hunt Shiras Moose they should have had snow cover. That snow cover would have moved the moose down into the low areas for food. I saw cows, calves, and some yearlings but no Bullwinkle's. My guide and I hunted dawn to dusk searching for moose. Melvin would also go out each day into other areas looking for moose for me. The food was excellent and I honestly looked forward to every meal. I was never disappointed in the menu!! The other hunters in camp were very friendly and the socializing was good, I say this because I believe this was due to the nature camp that Melvin and Tamara run. It was like finding a new family that openly welcomed you and made you feel at home. No snow was not their fault, they tried very hard to put me onto moose. Their wall in camp displayed pictures that very nicely showed that other hunters had success this year but earlier during the rut. I had a great time and I am booking another hunt with them to once again go in search of Bullwinkle. I will do this because I have faith in this outfitter that he will get me one, or do everything he can to do so!! EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!

Absolutely nothing!

Melvin and his crew make you feel like family and the food and accommodations were outstanding. Hunting was slow due to no snow but that is certainly out of their control.
