Our company was established in 1966 and operates in 1 territory.
Our company came about when Ben and Heather purchased property in 1966. It was immediately expanded to include six cabin units in close proximity to Flat Bay River at the base of scenic Steel Mountain, an area well known to Big Game Hunters and Atlantic Salmon Fishermen alike. Ben Alexander was one of the first Members & President of the Newfoundland Labrador Outfitters Association (NLOA) and worked tirelessly with the association. For over 50 years he consulted with various interest groups, government departments, and local hunters to promote sustainability and enhance this tourism potential for Newfoundland. We are located in prime MOOSE, CARIBOU, AND BLACK BEAR country

About this hunt
Hunting prices are all-inclusive with no hidden costs or fees (includes all taxes). Special discounts may apply based on the number of hunters booking as a group. Ask us for a preferred group rate! Non-Hunting Guest ................................................$2,700 U.S.FINAL PAYMENT: Due before being flown into the hunting lodge. Our rates listed above will include: picking up hunters at the Stephenville airport or local hotel (and return after the hunting week). Staff will greet each hunter and provide local transportation – guaranteed – provided the hunter arrives at the pre-arranged date & time. Once in Newfoundland, your hunt will include the ‘bush flight’ into & out of our exclusive fly-in hunting lodge, your guide, full time cook. Our hunting lodge is located in Western Newfoundland, it is exclusive and accessible by aircraft only (meaning it is inaccessible to locals). We have been outfitting since 1969, and have secured a hunting territory bordering a large wilderness reserve. The Lodge is positioned on a beautifully sheltered lake with a long sandy beach at the headwaters of Fishells River. Guests will be flown into camp by our affiliated Commercial Chartered Floatplane (or Helicopter) arriving at this exclusive hunting location. This flight is included in your hunting price. In planning your hunt you will need to allow sufficient time for arrival & departure logistics.

Where you will stay
The Lodge
The Lodge can accommodate 4-5 hunters each week. It is a modern hunting camp, self-contained and well insulated. It is complete with generated electric lights, running hot/cold water, wood stove heating, propane cooking stove, group living room, kitchen & dining area, double bedrooms, interior washroom facility including hot shower. Hunters have their bedroom area separate from that of our staff. A full-time cook prepares wonderful home cooked meals, along with snacks and desserts. The guides are professionals, knowledgeable of the hunting area, and always willing to make your stay with us comfortable and memorable.

How to get there
Once you arrive in Stephenville, we will meet and finalize the documentation required for your hunt. Whether you come here by air or drive, we will be prepared to greet our hunters, and begin making your hunting adventure smooth and seamless. Flight arrangements into Stephenville Airport are best (Deer Lake Airport is an alternate). If you’d like our assistance in making hotel/ferry reservations or just want to more information, please let us know. Upon arrival we will arrange to have your hunt begin as soon as possible, with the transfer of you and all hunting gear to be flown directly to our hunting lodge.
