A hunt of a lifetime with a world class professional hunter
Everything!!! This hunt exceeded my expectations at all levels. Not only were the hosts very courteous but I felt like a part of their family throughout the stay. Bossie (PH) and DJ (apprentice PH) accompanied me on the hunt and guided me throughout the process to ensure that I got the Cape Buffalo of my dreams. The trackers worked relentlessly to help locate the elusive animal despite the difficult rocky and mountainous terrain. The hunt was tough (both physically and mentally), and took every bit of 7 days (and some nights) but at the end we were rewarded with a trophy of a lifetime. My advise to fellow North American hunters is to treat this more like a marathon than a sprint where several factors have to come together over time for a successful game harvest. It is not uncommon for the hunter to be disheartened at times because of the elusive nature of the Cape Buffalo; but Bossie and DJ both ensured that my spirits were raised and I was ready to hunt on the following day with a rekindled desire. The living accommodations, food, and campfire stories were nothing short of fantastic. I strongly recommend Limpopo Big Game Safaris for your next hunt in South Africa!
