It is unfortunate that this gentleman from Washington that came on an archery elk hunt in 2021 with GP Outfitters was disgruntled. His review was disappointing and untruthful. Elk were seen by this hunter on most every day of his hunt at GP Outfitters. The first day he even commented when he came back to camp that he was within 15 to 20 yards of cow elk while hearing bull elk bugling all around him. Later in his hunt, two different times he was within 80 yards of six point bulls, and unfortunately he could not close the distance on them. Here at GP Outfitters in 2021 during the archery hunt we guided 24 hunters and had a 70% kill success, which has been our best year ever. It is too bad that one hunter's experience can ruin hunts for future prospective clients. As the outfitter and owner, I do have a bad back from an injury which is beyond my control and that is why I hire some of the best guides in the State of Wyoming. There is an open bar at camp, but drinking is not allowed while actively hunting. In fact, some of my guides do not drink alcohol at all. This hunter's particular guide was one of those that does not drink. I am sorry this hunter was not pleased with his experience, but I hope those with positive experiences will voice their opinions.
