A hunt of a lifetime with a world class professional hunter

Everything!!! This hunt exceeded my expectations at all levels. Not only were the hosts very courteous but I felt like a part of their family throughout the stay. Bossie (PH) and DJ (apprentice PH) accompanied me on the hunt and guided me throughout the process to ensure that I got the Cape Buffalo of my dreams. The trackers worked relentlessly to help locate the elusive animal despite the difficult rocky and mountainous terrain. The hunt was tough (both physically and mentally), and took every bit of 7 days (and some nights) but at the end we were rewarded with a trophy of a lifetime. My advise to fellow North American hunters is to treat this more like a marathon than a sprint where several factors have to come together over time for a successful game harvest. It is not uncommon for the hunter to be disheartened at times because of the elusive nature of the Cape Buffalo; but Bossie and DJ both ensured that my spirits were raised and I was ready to hunt on the following day with a rekindled desire. The living accommodations, food, and campfire stories were nothing short of fantastic. I strongly recommend Limpopo Big Game Safaris for your next hunt in South Africa!

Nothing.

The best professional outfitters.

Bossie is very professional and goes above and beyond what I had expected from a PH. Bossie knew the animals movement and patterns very well. The food is phenomenal and tasty. The accommodation were more than I expected . Bossie speaks all of the areas tribal dialects. That helps a lot hunting in ZA. Bossie has the best trackers I have ever seen. I went to hunt and bring home a few trophies and I did. However, I left South Africa with something better, a life long friendship with Bossie and his family. Bossie is the best.

There is nothing to be said negative. Only positive.

Good hunting experience

Bossie is a friendly fun guy to hunt with. He is a good PH and finds great deals and is willing to pass those on. He has to be one of the best out there for night hunts and for small predators and other night critters. If you are up to it, you will most definitely get your money's worth out of him. A day fee is really like a day and a half. And compared to some of the lazier PH's, you get two or three days worth of hunting every day with Bossie... If you want that. Bossie seems to be loved and respected by everyone in his home town. We had opportunities to interact several times with his neighbors on things from help on the road with a tire to hunting. And even without much notice if we struck out and needed a new spot, they were accommodating. I started out on a serious DG hunt with Bossie, then to get a few critters for my niece who was with but needed to fly home early. Then We had fun for another week or so just screwing around with whatever Africa had to offer. This was a great time with no pressure. Bossie took me to some special places that he only hunts once per year and we got some great trophies including a fantastic klipspringer and giraffe. And a beautiful, monster large spotted genet. As well as several others. Go with Bossie to get those animals everyone else brushes off or does not know how to hunt. Also if you want that one special animal that seems out of reach... Talk to Bossie about it and see what he can figure out.

He brought his wife and young son with and although I understood as he had been away for many months and it was approaching Christmas so I was glad they could spend some time together. Doing it over again I would have booked a few days later so they could have had their time and Bossie could have prepared for the hunt more in advance. And honestly there were some great times with his family, just that the negatives were a detraction over all. Nobody wants to go on their vacation and spend it dealing with someone else's family issues. I think clear communication up front is important.

Of my six trips to Africa hunting this was my best one ever.

I happened to be the only hunter in camp during my hunt so I got great one on one attention. My PH and I had a great relationship while hunting together. I tend to joke around with people so he was also that type. .

There is nothing that I would change while hunting with my outfitter.
