About this hunt
Elk Hunting in Arizona is some of the best in the world and revered by many as the best elk hunting destination. Our guides live to chase the bugle every September however we have had excellent success in the late season hunts as well. If you are looking to go on a good elk hunt and don’t want to wait years for a rut tag give us a call to discuss the late archery seasons which have a much higher chance of drawing success and still provide excellent trophy opportunities. ALL OF OUR ARIZONA ELK HUNTING IS BY DRAW. The State of Arizona does not participate in the landowner tag program. The Elk drawing starts in mid January and the deadline to apply is in early February. The applications for Arizona are accepted by U.S. Mail and Online. Interested elk hunters should contact us as soon as possible. We charge a nominal fee to assist potential hunters to navigate the draw system if you are to draw a tag and book with us we will apply that fee to your hunt. Arizona has a bonus point system which increases your odds of drawing a tag. Each time you are not drawn for a particular species, you receive a bonus point. If you are not drawn, you will be refunded the tag fee but the Arizona Game and Fish will keep the hunting license fee and give you a bonus point. It will give you a better chance of obtaining a tag for the next year’s draw. Bonus points are becoming an essential part in successfully drawing Arizona elk tags. - If you make a deposit on a hunt and you have to cancel you lose your deposit and any other money paid to date. However it is our policy that if you make deposit on a hunt and then have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement hunter at the regular hunt cost we will roll your deposit to a future hunt, which is at our discretion depending on the hunt you have booked. Please note that there are no tag refunds or lic refunds in the state of AZ.
