Man, What a deal! First, the people that I was set up with were ALL great people and we got to share a few good laughs, even though the language barrier was evident. Martin was an experienced guide and did his best to see to it that I got my animals. Rodrigo and Pilar, as well as Luis and Martin, were all very gracious hosts and always looked after my needs. Esqueiel and Natalia were also very polite and pleasant to be around. Second, the food and drink was excellent, even though we only shared a beer or two each night; I had all of everything that I could have wanted. It was really nice of Pilar and Natalia to prepare several meals serving cuts of the meat from my blackbuck and axis bucks. Thirdly, the ranch itself and its atmosphere were superb. It was just like the estates that I had read about concerning Argentina cattle ranches from the late 1800s. The estate reminded me of estates of 18th century, southern plantations here in the southeastern United States. Fourth, the hunting was really as I had expected. The hunts were not extremely tough, but they were no picnic either. They were just good old hunts with very wary quarry.
