Über diese Jagd

This is a Moose Rut hunt during the peak of the rut. the first two weeks of October. We hunt by walking and calling for moose in areas where the moose are ruting. We will use a truck to access the hunting area and then walk 1 to 2 miles per day and use cow and bull calls to bring a moose to us. We may also spot moose moving in open land and then a stalk on a bull may be attempted. Every hunter will also have a wolf licence as they will occasionally come in to a moose call there is no limit to the number of wolves a hunter may take in Alberta. The area we hunt is a mix of public forest land and private farm land, The bulls taken ranged from 35 to 48 inches. I have been hunting moose in this area of Alberta since 2001 and have consistently killed 4 of 4 or 3 of 4 bulls each year. If a hunter tags out early or wishes to do a combination hunt a Elk or Whitetail Deer may be added to the hunt for an additional cost of 3500 plus 200 for the tag. the hunt may then be extended to 8 days if booked in advance. The licence fee is 400 and covers 1 moose licence and a Wolf Tag.
