The Striped Polecat also known as a Zorilla is the equivalent of a North American Skunk. Although smaller in size, these small predators are able to produce the most foul-smelling secretion from their anal glands to defend themselves.
Striped Polecats are more Ferret-like in size, black in colour with four white stripes running from its head down the full length of its back and flanks. It has a long black and white wolly-haired tail. These territorial solitary nocturnal animals feed on insects, spiders, scorpions, mice and millipedes.
Classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN, so no special hunting permits are required.
